DRU BERRYMORE

This episode, written by April White, Edward Gorsuch, and Karen O’Hara and directed by Valerie Landsburg, stars Wendy Rice as Lauren.

Lauren calls into the radio show to tell Veronica (Angela Nicholas) about how she recently came home early and found her boyfriend, Michael (Eddy Romia), having sex in bed with another woman (Dru Berrymore). She watches for a moment until he sees her and then she storms out while he tries to shout for her to come back.

Lauren goes straight to the home studio of her friend George (Todd Svoboda), an artist whom she’s been modeling for, and tells him what happened. It’s nude modeling, of course. She strips down to her panties, and George starts to take a few pictures of the large bed in the middle of the studio, but he says he needs to go get some art supplies, so he leaves her there while he goes shopping, and she masturbates on the bed while she’s alone.

When George gets back with some paint, he has her stand up, and he literally paints on her chest. Then he takes her up to the roof of the building and takes some pictures as she poses for him. They get close, and she lays down, and they start to have sex, but it turns out to just be a dream sequence. Going back inside, he paints on her back and ass and then takes more pictures, the scene is intercut with some more of Lauren’s fantasizing about having sex with him.

When the shoot is over, Michael comes by and begs Lauren to forgive him and come back with him, but she insists that it’s over. After he leaves, Lauren and George finally have sex for real, after he confesses his longtime feelings for her. THE END.

The story was predictable. From the moment Lauren went to George, it was obvious that these two were going to hook up, but the episode tried to drag it out, so it just felt too long. Plus, to be honest, I don’t find Wendy Rise to be that attractive. She’s not bad, just not my type. She’s too skinny with barely any breasts. She appears in a later episode as the supporting character with a much hotter actress, and that works, but she doesn’t do it for me in this one. I wish they’d switched the roles and had Dru Berrymore playing Lauren.

It’s still well-shot, and if you like Rice you’ll enjoy this more than I did, so I’ll still at least give this a Chacebook rating of THREE STARS
