Nancy French writes, and Gary Dean Orona directs this fourth episode of The Erotic Traveler, and I’ll just get right to it and say that, after greatly improving with the previous episode, this series unfortunately falls back to mediocrity with this episode.

This episode has nothing to do with Marissa (Divini Rae) and Allison (Kaylani Lei) or photography. The ladies are both up late one night, and Marissa decides to tell Allison a random story about a friend of hers named Edward.

Years earlier, Edward (played by Chris Conrad), who is an American, was on a road trip in France. Over the course of the episode, we learn that the reason is that he has an old pearl necklace that was given to his grandfather decades earlier. His grandfather had been a soldier during a war, and while stationed in France, he met a woman named Babette, whom he was enchanted by, but she rejected him because he was engaged to the woman who became Edward’s grandmother. She told him that the necklace would bring him good luck in his marriage, and sure enough, his marriage lasted 60 years until he died. Then it was given to his father and then his other brother, who each credit the necklace with leading them to their eventual wives. So the brother gave it to Edward, hoping it would help him find his wife. But all Edward has gotten since receiving it is bad luck, as he got laid off from his job and his girlfriend left him for his best friend. So Edward was in France trying to track down Babette to give the necklace back to her, hoping it would at last give her some good luck.

Edward’s car breaks down, and he’s approached by a local French woman named Lily (Sarah Blake) who was riding a bicycle, but she got a flat tire. The two of them decide to walk together as Edward tells her his story about the necklace. I won’t get into too much detail with this recap because it’s boring. At one point, they get robbed by a couple of criminals, played by Damian Toofeek Raven and Teagan Presley, but they follow them and get their stuff back. Then they make it back to Lily’s place, where it turns out, in what I guess is supposed to be a shocking plot twist, that she’s Babett’s granddaughter,

Back in the present, Marissa tells Allison that Edward ended up moving to France, where he married Lily, so the pearls worked for him, after all. THE END

I just didn’t care about this story at all. The three sex scenes (two of Chris Conrad and Sarah Blake and one of Damian Toofeek Raven and Teagan Presley – plus a solo scene of Teagan masturbating in a show) were decent, but neither woman is really my type, so I can’t say it was worth it.
