THE CHAMPION IS DEAD. An era is truly over. The don’t make sportsmen like him anymore.

But even saying that feels inadequate, as Muhammad Ali transcended sports and became a global icon, and an inspiration to millions. Times like this I wish I was a much more talented and eloquent writer than I am. But I’m sure in the days to come there will be plenty of words written about him, celebrating his life and legacy. All I can say is that the world is a little bit darker tonight. Rest In Peace, Champ.
