Miyoko Fujimori

This episode guest-stars Miyoko Fujimori (under the name Flower Edwards), as Lisa. Lisa has recently come to lose interest in sex and dating, at least in real life. She’s been seeing a nice guy named John (Jason Schnuit), but just can’t bring herself to be enthusiastic about going out with him. In the opening of the episode we see her turning down a date with John and instead staying in alone and masturbating while reading an erotic novel. So Lisa goes to Belle (Kim Sill) to hopefully find out why she’s feeling the way she does. Belle puts Lisa through an an exercise where she puts Lisa in a blindfold, in order to enhance her other senses. Then Belle brings in a man named Shane (Robert Davis) for Lisa to touch, and let him touch her while she’s blindfolded, to see how it feels. Then Belle gets involved, and the two of them have sex while Lisa listen, still wearing the blindfold, and masturbates.

I have no clue how this is supposed to be help Belle, but I guess it does. Lisa later tries to call John, but can’t get in touch with him. Then we see her masturbating back at home while remember her time with Belle and Shane. She calls Belle insisting on another appointment, to do the blindfold thing again. But this time Belle tricks Lisa, and after blindfolding her she brings in John. So Lisa has sex with John, while wearing the blindfold, then Lisa takes the blindfold off when it’s over and she and John feel more connected now. Or something.

Storywise, this episode is pretty forgetful. It doesn’t make much sense. Likewise the two sex scenes (plus the opening long masturbation scene) are rather uninspired. The actors in the episode were fine, but Fujimori and Schnuit just didn’t have the right chemistry, neither did Sill and Davis, so there’s only so much they could do. This is not the best example of the overall quality of the series. Chacebook rating: 3 STARS
