FEMME FATALES: The Clinic

Written and directed by Michael Hurst, this is a truly dark episode. It’s one of the few I remember watching when the show first aired back in 2011, and it always stayed with me.

Daniel Bess plays Logan Cale, a healthy man who one day while having hot sex with his girlfriend Jessica (Stacy Stas Hurst – no apparent relation to Michael), he has a painful seizure. He goes to the doctor and is told he has some rare medical disease with no known cure that is sure to kill him within 3 months. He accepts his fate and wants to just spend his last remaining time with Jessica, but she wants him to go to this special Clinic in Mexico, which has some treatments that are illegal in America and might be able to help him. He doesn’t think it’s worth it, but when he has another seizure, he wakes up in the clinic, which Jessica has taken him to.

Carrie Genzel plays Dr. Marlowe, who runs the clinic. She convinces Logan that their treatments can help him, so he agrees to stay, although Jessica has to go back to America. His first treatment consists of being in something like an MRI machine. And when he wakes up he feels much better.

That night he meets a couple of other patients, Doug and Lindsey (Tyson Turrou and Robin Sydney). They take him on a little tour of the place, and it seems normal but there are some hints at something sinister. There are cameras almost everywhere, armed guards in the halls, and he finds out that all the other patients (including himself) are adopted, which seems like a pretty wild coincidence. Nevertheless, he stays, but after 6 weeks he wants to go home to see Jessica. The doctor won’t allow it but agrees to let Jessica come visit him, but when she does she tells him that she’s met another man and is leaving him.

Logan is devastated but now has no reason to leave. So he stays to continue his treatment. But then he, Doug, and Lindsey start noticing other patients simply disappearing. The doctor claims they were cured and discharged, but they find it strange that no one says goodbye. When Doug disappears, Lindsey convinces Logan that they need to escape before it’s too late.

I don’t want to spoil the ending, but there is a pretty dark conspiracy revealed involving kidnapping and organ theft. It gets really suspenseful in the final act, and I was on the edge of my seat until the end.

Of course, there are some hot sex scenes too. In addition to the aforementioned opening scene with Logan and Jessica, there’s also one with Logan and Lindsey, and there’s a scene with Doug and a hot nurse, who’s played by Ashley Chesney. There’s also a very brief scene where two other patients, a man and a woman who aren’t listed in the credits, are caught having sex in a supply closet. Plus, during the scene where Logan and Linsdey are trying to fight their way out, Lindsey is naked.

So it’s a dark story, with some sex appeal. I think you’ll enjoy it. Chacebook rating: FIVE STARS
