Written by Rick Copp and directed by Robert Meyer Burnett, this episode stars Jordan Madley as Rachel Worth. The episode opens with her waking up in bed with a serious hangover and a dead naked man. Then, after Tanit Phoenix does her typical introduction as “Lilith,” the episode begins by flashing back to the previous day to show us how Rachel got into this situation.
Rachel is set to marry a man named Cam (James Devoti), and they’re doing so on a private beach in Hawaii. The two of them start the day having passionate sex before they’re set to be separated to go to their own bachelor and bachelorette parties, and then the wedding is the next day. Rachel’s bridesmaids include Kim, Cam’s sister (Tammy Felice), and her friends Sharon (Arloa Reston) and Daphne (Kerry Knuppe). The ladies take Rachel to a private beach house that they’ve rented from a woman who is also played by Tanit, who shoes them around before leaving them alone. Rachel has little memory of what happened the night before because there was lots of drinking.
As one by one Rachel wakes up the ladies, who act equally shocked to see the naked man in Rachel’s bed, they piece together what happened last night. The man, Aaron (Jon Fleming), was a stripper that Kim hired as a surprise. Judging by the marks on his neck, it looks like he was strangled to death with his own thing.
Aaron came dressed as a firefighter and gave Rachel a lapdance until she passed out and Kim took her to bed. Sharon tried to come on to Aaron, but he turned her down. She got angry and he pushed her into the pool.
It turns out that Sharon has a history of violence, as she once bashed an ex-boyfriend’s head with a crowbar after she found out he was cheating on her. And she did shout “I’ll kill you!” after Aaron pushed her into the pool. But she denies killing Aaron. It’s also brought up that Daphne had once hooked up with Cam before he got with Rachel, and this was a source of conflict between the two ladies before but she swears she’s not angry about that now. And then they find Rachel’s phone, and there’s a video of her and Aaron having sex on it.
So what happened? Who killed him?
Well, there is a twist ending that’s pretty clever, even if the way it’s revealed is a bit too easy. But I don’t want to spoil it. In addition to Cam and Rachel, and the brief showing we get of Aaron and Rachel, there is another sex scene but I can’t say which woman is involved as that would spoil the twist. Just trust me when I say it’s one of the more memorable episodes of this season. Very worth watching.
