BOUNTY HUNTRESS: UNDERCOVER aka Pleasures of Sin

In 2001, MRG Entertainment released the films Beautiful Bounty, which they later renamed The Bounty Huntress, Sexual Temptations, which they later renamed Bounty Huntress 2, and Pleasures of Sin, which would be renamed Bounty Huntress: Undercover (I’ve also seen it credited as Bounty Huntress 3). Once again, this film has no connection to the previous films, other than the same writer Steve Martel, and Dru Berrymore is also in this film although she’s playing an entirely different character then she did in Sexual Temptations. The only story similarity is the basic plot of a female law enforcement officer attempting to capture a male criminal.

For the record, I don’t know who that model who appears on the covers of these Bounty Huntress movies is, but she doesn’t appear in any of the movies, which is a shame because she is smokin’ hot.

But I digress.

Directed by Eric Gibson, this film stars Chloe Nicole as Rebecca Carter, who runs a brothel out of a large mansion she owns in L.A., which wealthy men come to sleep with escorts. In addition to being the Madame, Rebecca also works as an escort. Dru Berrymore and David Christensen play police detectives Samantha and Steve, they’re also lovers. Also rounding out the cast is McKayla Matthews, Nikki Steele and Alex Foxx as Amanda, Lara and Jesse, three escorts that we see working at the brothel.

One day the detectives bring Rebecca into the police station, they tell her they’ve got evidence of her crimes of prostitution and threaten to arrest her unless she agrees to help them on a case. One of Rebecca’s clients is a man named Victor Davis (Burke Morgan), a major drug smuggler. They want to set it up a stakeout in her mansion, where the monitor the next time Victor comes to see her, and have her get him to talk about his business so they can get evidence of crimes. Rebecca reluctantly agrees. But since they don’t know the next time Victor will be coming to the mansion, Samantha and Steve need to move in so they’ll be ready whenever he arrives. Rebecca sets the two of them up in a private room, and puts cameras and microphones in the bedrooms, so they can watch on a computer monitor. This of course means that, in the meantime, they’re watching the other escorts have sex with their clients.

And that’s the basic plot of the film, which is just an excuse to show some sex scenes. It’s mostly Samantha doing the watching, as Steve is occassionally out following some vague leads about Victor. Let’s face, the actual “investigation” isn’t all that important here. The drama comes from the fact that it’s established early on that Samantha is rather conservative sexually. She’s disgusted at the very idea of Rebeccas and her business of women getting paid for sex. while Steve thinks it’s just like any other business. But as she’s in the brother watching the action, she can’t help but get more and more turned on, to the point where she starts to get tempted to join in. Meanwhile Steve finds himself getting tempted by Rebecca.

Naturally, this being a softcore film, both of these detectives end up recklessly risking their careers (and relationship) as Steve sleeps with Rebecca and Samantha actually joins in with one of the escorts to sleep with a client. But don’t worry, it all works out in the end, with a bit of a plot twist that I won’t spoil although it’s not exactly shocking.

There’s plenty of flows with the story that I can point out, but it’s a well-shot film with a decent cast who give it their all. I’ll admit I was a little distracted at times by Dru’s thick German accent which seems out of place for a Los Angeles police detective. But I’ve always thought she was hot. Chloe Nicole always did a great acting job in her films, and this is no exception as she plays her character as properly reserved and secretive. And the films gives us 7 full sex scenes.

Chloe Nicole has 3 scenes, one with Howard McCullough, who plays one of Rebecca’s clients, one with David Christensen, and a solo nude masturbation scene.
Strangly, although their characters are supposed to be lovers, we don’t get a scene of her with Burke Morgan (a softcore veteran who’s done plenty of sex scenes). We get one flashback scene where they’re about to have sex, she gets naked and get on top of him, but then the scene ends without showing us the rest. That seems like an odd creative choice.

Dru Berrymore is in 2 scenes, one with Christensen, and a threesome scene with Nikki Steele and Ralph Spector, who plays a client of the brothel.

Steele also has a scene with Jack Ketchmark, who plays one of Amanda’s clients.

McKayla Matthews has a scene with Carlos Milano, who plays another brothel client.

I’ll note that there’s the start of a lesbian sex scene with Steele and Alex Foxx, but it also cuts out before showing us anything, which is another strange choice. The sex scenes we did get are decent, but not spectacular.

I’m going to give this film a Chacebook rating of THREE AND A HALF STARS. It was good, but could have been better. It’s not bad but not something I’d rewatch many times.
