Beverly Hills Bordello is one of the earliest ongoing softcore TV series, debuting in Feb. 1996, and is still one of the greatest, in my opinion. Set in a mansion in Beverly Hills, where Madame Veronica Winston (played by Nicole Gian for the majority of the series) provides a bevy of beautiful babes for paying customers to spend time with, the series always had well-written storylines and erotically performed sex scenes. And many of the top softcore actresses of the era made appearances on the show.

Written and directed by Robert Angelo, this is the 4th episode of the 1st season. David Christensen stars as Police Lt. Harry Jackson. The episode opens with him having sex with an escort named Tess (played by adult film star Ruby aka Ruby Jewel). During the scene, we hear Harry’s narration, as he tells the audience how much he likes sex. But even better he likes free sex. After all, everything is better when it’s free.

“Free food tastes better. Complimentary tickets to the Lakers are more comfortable.” 

Well, he’s not wrong.

After sex, he goes to Veronica’s office, supposedly to pay the bill for what was his first visit to her bordello. But he reveals to her that is a cop, which she didn’t know. He tries to offer her his “protection”,  but she claims that her business has already made “arrangements” with certain powerful figures in the city (which would explain how the bordello appears to operate so openly). Harry warns that his friends are more powerful than hers, and tells her he’ll be back.

Sure enough, he returns the next day with a uniformed officer and a warrant for Veronica’s arrest. It turns out that he does have more powerful friends, as she finds out that he’s married to the Mayor’s daughter. So now she agrees to his deal, which is that from now on he gets unlimited free access to Veroinca’s “stable.”

First, we see him have an appointment with an escort named Millicent (Landon Hall). He makes her masturbate in front of him before they have sex. When it’s over he leaves her lying in bed and says “great session.” Then we get a little montage where he sees her two more times, although we don’t see the action just her laying in bed as he leaves. Another time he picks Tess and Millicent and takes them upstairs where he orders them to have sex with each other while he just watches.

It’s unclear how much time passes, but it’s implied that he’s there a lot. Next time we see Harry meeting with Veronica, she says he’s now been with her entire roster and is complaining that he’s cutting into her profit margin because she has to pay the girls out of her pocket each time he’s with one of them. Well, Harry now decides that there’s only one woman left for him to bang: Veronica herself!

She is disgusted by the idea but has no choice. So a session is set up, where Harry and Veronica are together. He makes her strip for him while he watches, and then he gets up to caress her body. She tries to act disinterested and then slaps him, but he just laughs it off, grabs her hand when she tries to slap him again, and then forcefully kisses her. Veronica gets into it and they have sex.

It’s a hot scene, and it’s one of only two times that Nicole Gian actually performed a sex scene in the series, usually Veronica is just more of a “host” in these episodes. It’s a shame she didn’t do more of them because she’s very good.

The next night Harry meets Veronica in his office. Where she shows him a video that she secretly recorded of their sex session, during which she also got him to make an insulting comment about his wife and her father. Boom! Harry is screwed now, and not in a good way. Not wanting his wife or father-in-law to ever see the tape, Harry accepts defeat as Veronica kicks him out.

This was an excellent episode, with a great cast (Landon Hall was one of the best softcore actresses of the 1990s), a great storyline, and great sex scenes. Chacebook rating: FIVE STARS
