Blah blah blah. Yeah, I know, I’m supposed to “respect the dead” express sympathy to his family and all that, but as far as I’m concerned, he was just another extremist Far Right bigot who did nothing to advance the political discourse in this country. I’m sorry if this sounds crass but am I just supposed to forget what he did to Shirley Sherrod? He edits a video to make it look like she’s a racist, just so he could run to the media and scream about “racist Black people”. And he still wouldn’t even apologize to her when he was busted.
On the Piers Morgan show tonight, he had some people defending Brietbart. Michael Reagan was going on and on about how Brietbart was such a strong defender of conservatives, and how he taught them how to “fight back” (y’know, in the typical “poor oppressed White people” notion), while Amy Holmes praised Brietbart for his support of “Minority conservatives” (like Black, Hispanic, and gay Republicans) , basically trying to portray him as some kind of Civil Rights crusader, it was disgusting.
This is the man who went before a Tea Party rally and talked about a “war” between the Right and the Left, and how the Right would win because, “We outnumber them in this country, and we have the guns.” Yeah, he said that. So, no, I’m not sorry @ all that he’s dead.
