Here’s something a little different for me, it’s an erotic book, but not a novel. It’s a collection of poetry by a poet I’ve been following on Twitter for quite some time, Clarissa O. Clemens. Her poems are of an erotic nature, with a heavy emphasis on sex and sexual pleasure.

This book contains 79 of her poems, some of them based on love, others on pure lust. Some from the perspective of a submissive lover wanting their partner to dominate them, some from the pov of the dominant one, some describing how much they enjoy what their partner is doing to them, some about them enjoying what they’re doing to their partner, some about the anticipation about what they’re about to do or have done to them. Her ability to write these poems from different perspectives is impressive.

Most of the poems rhyme, although not all completely. Some are short, taking up less than half a page, some are longer, up to a page and a half.

I don’t know what else to say, it’s hard to be too in-depth when reviewing poetry. You can check out her Twitter or her blog to see samples of her poems yourself, and if you like what you see, as I did, I think you’ll love this book.
