FEMME FATALES: Haunted

Written by Turok Andar and directed by Darin Scott, this episode takes a dark horror tone. It opens in 1924, a bored young rich heir named Edward Lomax (Cameron Bender) is performing a Satanic ritual with a woman named Abigail (Nikki Moore). He’s got a grimoire that he bought from some gypsy woman in Eastern Europe and he’s reading from it as he and Abigail face each other while standing in the middle of a large pentagraph that’s drawn on the floor. Edward is trying to summon a demon. At first, he thinks he failed when he finishes the spell and nothing happens, but then Abigail becomes consumed with lust and seduces him and they have sex right there on the floor. At the moment of climax, she then sucks all the life out of Edward, living him a withered corpse.

Jumping ahead to the present, we meet Holly Brown, a self-proclaimed psychic, played by Tiffany Brouwer Santini). She’s meeting Lex, Susan, and R.J. (Steve Richard Harris, Annie Ruby, and Andrew Dickler) , the hosts of a TV show called Fright Finders, where they explore paranormal phenomena. Holly tells the story of what happened to Edward. Abigail wrote it all in her diary, claiming she was possessed by a demon, and then killed herself. And in the years since, the mansion he lived in, which is still owned by the Lomax family, was said to be haunted, and rumors of other mysterious deaths occurring in it have persisted. The current owner has agreed to let Holly into the house, as she wants to use her psychic abilities to see if there are really any spirits in the house, but only if she can get the Fight Finders to film an episode there.

Lex is a skeptic but agrees to go along with it because it will make great ratings. They got to the house and meet Tom Lomax, Edward’s great-great-grandson, who is also played by Cameron Bender. He wants to sell the mansion, but no one will buy it because of the rumors, so he hopes that Fright Finders will prove it’s not haunted, which is why he agreed to this.

Holly and the Fright Finders team hold a seance, and while she doesn’t bring up any spirits, strange things start happening. I don’t want to spoil exactly what happens, but since we see the ritual in the beginning of the series, we know that the supernatural stuff is real. And we learn that the demon that originally possessed Abigail was a fallen angel, that has now become a succubus, she takes over women and seduces and kills men. Taking the form of a ghost of Abigail, she seduces Tom, and then possessing Holly she goes after Lex. When Susan finds the old grimoire, she attempts to send the demon back to Hell, before they’re all dead.

A nice spooky episode. Even without the two hot sex scenes (in addition the first one with Bender and Moore we get one of Harris and Brouwer) I’d enjoy watching this. Great cast and a great story.  Chacebook rating: FIVE STARS
