Written by Tina Hawthorn and directed by Austin Brooks, this movie is from Mainline Releasing which has a history of quality softcore films. And I’m just going to get this out of the way and say this is NOT one of their best.

It takes place at the University of Austin Texas, where Joshua Broome and Kiara Dane play Sean and Alex, a couple of teacher assistants, working for Professor Dirk Jordan (Paul Case). Dirk acts and speaks like an exaggerated Texas cowboy, and neither of them likes him. Dirk has published a book on studies of various cultures’ beliefs in the afterlife, with a particular interest in beliefs revolving around departed souls inhabiting other people’s bodies, or something, it’s unclear (and never gets better).

Sean has a crush on Alex, but she’s in a relationship with another TA named Mitch (Kevin Patrick). But unbeknownst to Alex, Mitch is cheating on her with another professor named Camille, who is played by India Summer. Camille used to date Dirk but dumped him, although he still wants her back.

We see Camille and Mitch at her house, where they’re supposed to be grading papers together, instead, they have sex. Dirk is parked outside, spying on them. After Camille and Mitch finish, he gets in his car to leave, but this is just as Dirk is angrily walking up the driveway to confront Camille, but Mitch accidentally backs into Dirk and kills him. As Mitch gets out of his car to check the body, Dirk’s spirit leaves his body and goes into Mitch’s body, and now Dirk, as Mitch, gets back into his car and drives away. Camille sees all of this and is horrified and shocked.

Mitch/Dirk goes home and when Alex gets there, he comes on to her and although she notices his new accent and mannerisms (as he’s speaking like Dirk), they have sex. She goes to college for work the next day, where she talks to Sean about how weird Mitch is acting. Both note that Dirk didn’t come to school that day.

Mitch/Dirk stays home and gets a massage from a woman named Lisa (Tiffany Tyler) which leads to sex. Alex returns just as they finish having sex, and runs out of the house crying, but then the police show up and arrest Mitch/Dirk for Dirk’s murder.

The next day at school Alex and Sean are talking, both in shock that Dirk is dead. Alex said Mitch was just brought in for questioning and is out on bail. They go back to Sean’s place and have sex. Later back at school Camille meets with Alex and confesses to her about her affair with Mitch. She said she didn’t tell the police that she saw Mitch run over Dirk, she just told them that she heard a car and then went outside and found Dirk’s body.

But that doesn’t explain why the police arrested Mitch, or why they haven’t compounded his car which would surely have evidence of a crash?

Anyway, as Camille and Alex talk about how horrible Dirk was, Camille brings Alex home and plays a videotape of her and Dirk having sex, for some reason. Seeing Dirk in action makes Alex realize how similar to him Mitch was acting when they had sex the night before. So they go to Sean who figures out that after Dirk was killed he possessed Mitch’s body, and they come up with a plan to draw him out and keep him from possessing anyone else.

Mitch/Dirk goes back to Mitch’s house. Lisa shows up again, and Mitch/Dirk starts wondering what it feels like to inhabit a woman’s body, so he possesses Lisa. Mitch is now in control of his own body again, unaware of anything that’s happened in the past couple of days, and when Lisa/Dirk comes on to him, he gives in and they have sex.
Afterward, Lisa/Dirk reveals the truth to Mitch, and Mitch runs off to throw up, realizing that he just had sex with a man who was in a woman’s body.

Yeah, I’d probably react the same way.

Sean, Camille, and Alex are at Camille’s house. They have a plan to bring Mitch, whom they think is still possessed by Dirk, back to the house so they can perform an exorcism of some kind. The two ladies leave, while Sean stays behind to get everything ready, but he’s surprised when Lisa/Dirk shows up. Lisa/Dirk seduces Sean and they have sex. Camille, Alex, and Mitch all return just as Lisa/Dirk and Sean are finishing. In the moment of orgasm, Dirk leaves Lisa’s body and possesses Sean.

Back in control of her own body, Lisa freaks out and leaves. Camille and Mitch leave Alex and Sean/Dirk alone, so they can have sex. Somehow, when they finish, Dirk’s spirit is expelled from Sean’s body and he’s unable to possess anyone else, so his spirit just fades away for good.

The movie ends sometime later with Camille and Alex having drinks at Camille’s home. We learn that Sean and Alex are now together, while Camille and Mitch are together, and this is treated as a happy ending.

However, there’s still the matter of the fact that Mitch did kill Dirk, albeit accidentally, so shouldn’t he be in trouble for that? But that’s just ignored.

So, yeah, this story was a fucking mess, and the acting was mediocre at best. The latter was surprising as India Summer is usually good in all the softcore films I’ve seen her in but, like the rest of the cast, it felt like she was reading her lines off of cue cards. Not even the sex scenes could save this film.
