Not to be confused with the “Reality” TV series, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, this 2012 film was written by Dean McKendrick and directed by Fred Olen Ray (as Nicholas Medina). It stars Eric Masterson and Kelli McCarty as Doug and Katie, a poor married couple. Doug works asa hypnotist and fortune-teller, calling himself The Amazing Rinaldi, but he’s not very good at it, and Katie is his assistant. One day at home they get a letter informing them that Doug’s aunt as died, and left him her mansion in Beverly Hills so, after a celebratory sex session, they pack-up their bags and move.
The first day they move in, they’re greeted by some of their neighbors, two married couples, Peter (Ted Newsom) & Patricia (Beverly Lynne), and George (Billy Chappell as Tony Marino) & Amy (Kylee Nash). Peter is an oil man, and Billy is a producer of cheap B-movies that no one has ever heard of. Doug and Katie try to impress their guests, and act like they really fit into this this neighborhood, but when Doug inadvertently mentions his hypnotist career, Amy insist that he tries to hypnotize her in front of everyone, but he of course fails miserably. The other couples leave, and we see Patricia telling Peter that she thinks Doug and Katie are frauds who don’t belong there. Then we see George and Amy in their home, where George reveals that he wants try to get Doug to invest in his next movie, because he assume that he must have a lot of money if he can afford that mansion. Then he and Amy have sex on their bed.
The next day Amy and Katie are out driving around and shopping, while a strange man greets Doug back at the mansion, and gives him a special amulet which he says is from Doug’s Aunt. He tells Doug that with the amulet he will be able to actually hypnotize people for real, and warns him to only use its power for good, not evil. The man Doug accepts the amulet, but doesn’t believe it’s real. Then Patricia comes by and asks if he has any cooking Sherry that she can borrow to make dinner. Doug, on a whim, decides to try out the amulet on Patricia, and flashes it in her eyes, which instantly puts her in a trance. Shocked that it worked, Doug gives Patricia a command that whenever someone says “Wait, wait, wait” she’ll feel compelled to have sex with that person. Then he snaps her out of the trance, tells her that he doesn’t have any Sherry for her, and she starts to leave, but he says the words and then they have sex. Afterwords, Doug commands her to forget the whole thing.
Then Katie comes home with multiple shopping bags. Doug doesn’t like that she’s spent so much money, but Katie point out that if they’re going to live in Beverly Hills they need to keep up appearances with their rich neighbors, which means they need to find someway to make more money. Doug then goes golfing with Peter and George, where Peter makes Doug the offer to invest $1 million in Doug’s next movie, “Invasion Of The Swamp People”, pointing out that Peter has already invested in it. Doug doesn’t want to admit that he doesn’t have the money, so he just says he’ll think about it, but later on Peter finds Doug’s amulet and accidentally puts himself in a trance. Doug quickly uses the amulet to hypnotize George too and then asks him how he makes his money. George confesses that his movie career is a big scam, he just gets rich investors to give him money, and then puts it in his own secret accounts. So after he snaps George out of his trance, Doug blackmails George, saying that if he doesn’t give Doug $2 million he’ll expose George’s scheme to Peter and the rest of his investors.
Back at George and Amy’s house, we’re treated to an almost 4 minute scene of Amy washing herself and then masturbating in the shower. Then George comes home and tells her what happened, and that he doesn’t have access to that kind of of money so quickly, so he’ll have to do something else. So he and Amy go to a strip club, where we’re treated to a 4 minute strip-tease by Jade Starr, where they meet with a hitman (Evan Stone) and give him $50,000 to kill Doug. But the hitman gets the wrong address, and sneaks into Peter and Patricia’s house by mistake. Patricia wakes up and hears someone in the house, so she grabs a baseball bat and does to look around, she catches the hitman in another room and starts hitting him with the bat. The hitman shouts “Wait!” three times, and Patricia drops the bat and jumps on the hitman, and they have sex. Afterwards, Patricia has no idea what came over her, but the hitman is so happy that he confesses everything to her. When Patricia finds out that George hired him to kill Doug, she realized that something is strange, and asks him if they can make a deal with him, which he agrees to.
The next evening, Peter and Patricia join George and Amy back at Doug and Katie’s house for drinks. Patricia sneaks off to let the hitman into the house, where they plot for the hitman to threaten George in front of the others and get him to confess to his plan to cheat Peter and other investors, but Amy overhears them. When the hitman tries to grab her so she won’t talk, she says “Wait!” three times, and that makes Patricia seduce her. The hitman joins in to make it a threesome.
Meanwhile, Katie takes George into the kitchen to get some new drinks, but once they’re alone she really tries to convince him to give her an acting role in his next movie, and they have sex on the kitchen table.
Then everyone comes back to the den, where Patricia gets the hitman to reveal everything, and Doug confesses. Then Peter confesses that all of his oil wells are dry, so he’s broke too and therefor couldn’t really invest in George’s movie anyway. Doug hypnotizes everyone except Katie, putting them all in a trance. The two of them decide that they don’t really want to live in Beverly Hills with all of these fake people who lie and cheat each other, so he drops the amulut they leave.
THE END.
Another short movie, about an hour and twenty minutes. And during that time we get 5 full sex-scenes, with each of the female stars getting to appear in two scenes. I would have rather that they cut out either the solo shower scene or the stripper scene, or both, and squeezed in one more full sex-scene. Early on in the film, Amy made a comment about wanting to have sex with Doug, so if they’d given us a scene between Nash and Masterson, that would have been better, but they didn’t follow through on that. Still, what we did get was very hot. Particularly Beverly Lynne’s scenes, as a longtime softcore veteran she really knows how to make her sex scenes look real, as does adult film star Evan Stone.
Unfortunately the DVD (which you can buy via AMAZON) only comes with something it calls “Hypno-Vision”, which means that during the sex scenes they flash what are supposed to be subliminal messages across the screen. I haven’t bothered trying to slow down or pause it to see what the messages are, I just see a quick flash of some words, but it’s stupid and distracting, so I have to deduct a couple of points for that. Overall, I give this film 3 1/2 STARS.
