LINGERIE season 2, episode 3: Everybody Loves Cody

Written by Anthony L. Greene and directed by Christopher Warre Smets, this episode opens with Vanessa (Lana Tailor) filming a scene for her TV show, with her co-star Hugh (Michael Slade) and an actress named Rena (Albina Nahar). As they take a break before the next scene, both Vanessa and Hugh take their shot at enticing Rena to their dressing rooms, but Hugh wins out. Supposedly going to “practice their lines” for their scenes, Hugh and Rena have sex, which is a bit hypocritical of Hugh, considering the way he cautioned Vanessa against sleeping with the guest stars in episode 1.

Cody (Marcus Colby) continues his behavior of acting arrogant due to his newfound “fame,” as he comes to Lacey’s studio bragging about the free clothes he’s getting from new designers, and he refers to himself in the third person. He also cancels a planned date with Stephanie (Erin Brown) to go get some new pictures taken for his portfolio. In a bit of meta-commentary, Erins asks if someone “can please locate the original Cody” for her, because she doesn’t like this new one.

Yeah, Stephanie, I wish Matt Fitzgerald was still playing Cody too.

Later that night, after spending the night Cody, Stephanie tells him they need to break up and, true to form, Cody asks if they can still be “fuck buddies,” which just confirms to Stephanie that she needs to dump him.

As I noted before, this all feels like such a regression in Cody’s character, although I expect them to get back together, after he’s been suitably humbled somehow, by the end of the season..

Richard (Richard Roy Sutton) shows Giovanna (Amber Smith) an article in the newspaper, announcing Lacey’s deal with Sebastian. Giovanna is pissed, feeling that that kind of deal should have been given to her and not this young upstart. So she devises a plan to get to know Lacey (Jennifer Korbin). She meets with her and takes her to lunch, pretending to be kind and helpful. Lacey is a big fan of Giovanna and doesn’t suspect any ulterior motives, especially when Giovanna proposes that their studios team up. Considering Amber Smith’s profile, it’s about time they got her and Jennifer together on screen, and I’m interested to see where this story goes.

It’s probably too much to expect a sex scene between the two at some point, but a man can hope, right?

Earlier in the episode Lacey and Jason (Michael Murray Scratch) revisit the discussion of him moving in with her, which she brought up in the previous episode. At first, he is reluctant, but in the end, he tells her wants to. It’ll be interesting to see how Vanessa reacts to this, as she and Lacey still live together (although they haven’t had a scene together in this season yet, same as they rarely interacted in most of the first season), and considering the little love triangle that existed between them before, living together could be awkward. This could prove to be a promising storyline if they handle it right.

In addition to the two sex scenes I mentioned, there’s one between Giovanna and Richard and one between Lacey and Jason, all of which are smoking hot, as usual. This episode gets a Chacebook rating of FOUR STARS

  1. This episode really shows an example of people in business using each other for their own interests. It is a necessary portrayal that this show includes and yes sex is one of those ways with it being natural in this episode.
Erin Brown’s sex scene was good don’t get me wrong and Amber Smith’s is a good one too. Jennifer is not bad. However, they are all part of the main cast and the one I really liked here was Albina guest starring was so hot.
